0.4.2 - Player Feedback Patch

Offline Progression / Browser AFK Overhaul

  • Gold, XP and Research Pages are now awarded for browser players when they return to a suspended tab (woo!)
  • Any changes to offline also affect this new browser AFK system as they are using the same foundation. The idea here is to significantly narrow the gap between active and AFK play as the gap was much too large before
  • Farmhand offline progression now simulates autofarming as well as passive XP and Gold gains
  • Farmhand cooldowns are now reset if enough time has passed while AFK in the browser
  • Squire offline progression is now 100% of calculated offline kills (up from 25%)
  • Researcher offline progression is now 100% of calculated random research (up from 25% for XP, and up from 10% for pages). Researcher offline progression still simulates two random researches once multitasking is unlocked
  • Researcher skill Epiphany now resets if enough time has passed while AFK in the browser
  • Offline / AFK time is now added to time stats (time played, time played in a class, time in rebirth)
  • When tabbing away from HFI in the browser, music and sound instantly mutes if you have the out of focus preference set

Farmhand

  • Sleep restored per second starts at 5 instead of 2.5
  • Sleep restored per second rebirth stat scaling has been reduced
  • Eat Food can now be activated while autofarming if you have empowered hunger
  • Farmhand levels up much faster when a large amount of experience is gained all at once

Squire

  • Enemy XP reward scales a little faster than before (meaning going to do the tougher enemy is more likely to reward for XP per second)
  • Added an entry for Poison and Crit Resistance in the Info section
  • Made the Total XP and Gold Per Second estimate a bit more accurate
  • Fixed an issue where Brace rank 2 couldn't be cast until you have 25% stamina (even though it costs 10%)
  • While recovering, you can no longer activate a skill and waste the stamina to no effect

Researcher

  • Added secondary Research stat bonuses to the Rebirth tab and fixed some tooltip issues
  • Updated Quality Ink wording (reduces research TIME by X%)
  • Book color, titles and class buff text persist if you have already published the book once
  • Normalized the speed at which the submit pages progress bar goes
  • Rebalanced Researcher XP gains (More natural wisdom scaling, less XP Per Research available)
  • Shop Items have had their costs adjusted slightly
  • Epiphany is now disabled while you are publishing a book
  • Gold Per Second stat now displays the correct amount of gold per second happening
  • Professional Development tooltip has been updated to represent a multiplier instead of percentage for the increase

Other Changes

  • Level Cap is now 75 (until more content is added)
  • Big number system implemented - XP, Gold and Rebirth calculations (these handle much larger numbers now)
  • Shop item discount is no longer being applied twice
  • Clarified how some rebirth stats don't kick in until higher numbers in the info section
  • A new current rebirth timer (How long have you been in your current run)
  • A new timer for last rebirth stat obtained (How long did it take you to get your last rebirth stat in the current run)
  • Base stat bonuses are now displayed separately from the fully multiplied bonus (ex: Gold Per Second)
  • Added shadows to class icons
  • Added two new Secret achievements
  • Simplified the rebirth stat bonus wording by removing the percentages and changing them to straight multipliers
  • Misc bug fixes and UI improvements
